Madhu
Pahadi Honey is a pure, natural honey collected from the untouched hills of Uttarakhand and Himachal. It is sourced from wildflowers and herbs growing in the Himalayas, giving it a rich aroma, slightly floral taste, and a golden-amber hue. This honey is raw and unprocessed, retaining all of its natural enzymes and medicinal properties.
In the mountain regions, honey has been revered not just as food but as prasad (offering) in religious rituals, a remedy in folk medicine, and a staple in households for centuries. Locals have traditionally harvested wild honey from forest hives using sustainable, respectful methods, symbolizing harmony with nature. It also holds importance in ayurveda, where it is called Madhu and is considered a ‘yogavahi’—a carrier that enhances the properties of other herbs.
